1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Cognya (cognya.co.uk), operated by Cognya. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Cognya.

2. Eligibility

Cognya is intended for use by private tutors and education professionals in the United Kingdom. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@cognya.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Cognya for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy any part of the platform
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems

5. Worksheet Generation

Cognya uses AI to generate educational worksheets. While we strive for accuracy and curriculum alignment, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing worksheets before distributing them to students. Cognya does not guarantee that generated content will be error-free.

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at signup. Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Your subscription will auto-renew unless cancelled.

7. Free Tier

New accounts receive 6 free worksheet generations. Free tier worksheets do not reset. Once the free allocation is used, a paid plan is required to generate additional worksheets.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by law. See our Refund Policy for details.

9. Intellectual Property

Cognya and its underlying technology are owned by Cognya. Worksheets you generate are yours to use for your tutoring practice. You may not resell or redistribute worksheets generated by Cognya as your own product.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Cognya shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Cognya after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes by email.
